Join RR Shakti with Karen Anderson for 200-hour Inner Power Yoga Teacher Training in the spring of 2020! We will meet over 4 long weekends, Thursday-Sunday: March 12-15, March 26-29, April 16-19 and April 30-May 3. This course is registered with the Yoga Alliance.
The 200-hour Inner Power Yoga® Education is a comprehensive course in authentic yoga culture. It is designed to deepen your personal practice, enrich your understanding of yoga history and philosophy, and prepare you as a dynamic and competent yoga teacher.
- Practice asana, pranayama, and meditation techniques that are dynamic and transformational.

- Study Yoga’s history, as well as modern yoga theory as it has evolved over the centuries.

This program will give you the tools to present a yoga practice that is adaptable to each individual, providing the skills required to share the practice and teachings of yoga in a manner that is authentic, inspired, and inclusive. Participants will learn how to create dynamic asana sequences and thoughtful class themes, as well as the essential ingredients of yoga mythology and philosophy to deepen their practice and teaching. With these skills, students may reach their highest potential as teachers.

Anatomy classes will be specifically geared toward yoga asana and the adaptation of postures for each student. You will also be introduced to the art of creating yoga classes for people with specific considerations. You will have plenty of time for independent study, and will further hone your skills as a Yoga Teacher with a community practicum and yoga seva projects.

Weaving World Mythology with Yoga Psychology, she guides you home to your deepest wisdom. Shakti is a Mythologist—a dynamic story teller and teacher’s teacher. She holds a PhD in Mythology and Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute. Shakti infuses esoteric teachings with real-life meaning to create ritual that is both mystical and practical. Shakti is a Yoga Professor—with the foundations of her teachings in Yoga, Shambhala and Psychology stemming from her undergraduate education at Naropa University. Her teachings call for radical authenticity and practical human engagement for an embodied experience of awakening to one’s inner power. In her dynamic workshops, Shakti combines ecological awareness, social service, and mind/body integration to offer an inspired message of peace and personal empowerment. Shakti is a Wellness Facilitator—a certified Yoga Therapist, licensed Massage Therapist, and Ayurvedic Consultant, she has studied holistic approaches to wellness for nearly 20 years.
About Karen: Karen Anderson has been teaching yoga in the Vail Valley since 1999. Her extensive training in yoga asana and philosophy comes primarily from her root teacher, Richard Freeman. Her training in meditation is primarily in the Indo-Tibetan Buddhist tradition. She is certified and empowered to teach meditation in the Southeast Asian Buddhist tradition. Karen has completed eleven 30-day silent meditation retreats in Asia and the US.
Investment is $2750 for the entire training.
Each module is $750 if taken independently.
