Our 2019 training will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, beginning the weekend of September 21/22 and ending the weekend of November 16/17, with no class held the weekend of October 12/13. This course is registered with the Yoga Alliance.
This eight-weekend course will focus on the deepening of your personal practice and the art of teaching yoga. We will explore the physical body, the energetic body, and the mind, bringing the traditional practice into the modern context.
We will emphasize alignment from a functional movement perspective, and the safe hands-on assist to suit the individual. We will cover the full spectrum of yoga practice, with the intention of infusing yoga into our lives.
Karen combines Richard Freeman’s alignment-based Ashtanga yoga with the devotional classical vinyasa of Yogi Sri Dharma Mittra. She is a certified Buddhist meditation instructor, massage therapist and student of life.
We will meet from 9am-6pm on Saturdays and 9am-4pm on Sundays.
Cost of $3000 includes all books, guest instructors and field trips. If you have done the training before, you can repeat the course for 1/2 price; if you already have a YA 200-hour certification from another school, join us for $2000.
Please contact Karen at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions or to apply.
