Our summer 2019 Introduction to Guiding Meditation course will be held on Saturdays and Sundays, the weekends of June 15/16, July 13/14, August 17/18 and September 14/15. Karen has been teaching this course since 2017.
This four-weekend course will focus on deepening your personal practice and the art of guiding others. We will explore mindfulness meditation and heart practices, and begin an inquiry into the practice of concentration and opening to insight. The practices will be based on Buddhist meditation traditions- primarily those of Theravadin Buddhism- but will include context for practices in other traditions.
We will meet from 10am-2pm each day. Please plan to commit to daily practice for the full 3-month period.
The cost of $650 includes all books, materials, and audio recordings.
This course is open to yoga teachers and dedicated meditation practitioners, and provides Yoga Alliance continuing education credits.
