Myofascial Release (MFR) Approach

The John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release Approach® is considered to be the ultimate mind/body therapy that is safe, gentle and consistently effective in producing results in reducing pain, headaches, fibromyalgia symptoms, and restore motion. This approach consists of the gentle sustained pressure and stretch combined with movement to melt and unravel our myofascial restrictions and enhances our ability to relax, rehydrate and heal the whole body and mind. This essential “time element” has to do with the viscous flow and the piezoelectric phenomenon: a gentle pressure applied slowly will allow fascia to elongate. This takes about 5 minutes for each area.
