Beth received her undergraduate degree from Wayne State University. She then moved to Boulder, Colorado to attend the Boulder School of Massage. She specializes in Neuromuscular Training and often performs NMT on her regular massage clients.
Beth is a senior therapist for the Spa at Vail Athletic Club. She performs all the Signature and specialty treatments as well as classic and deep tissue.
Carri brings 25 years of industry experience, and is a senior therapist at the Spa at Vail Athletic Club, starting here in 1997. She brings a background rich in varied modality training including Reiki, Japanese foot massage, Reflexology, Myofascial Release, Esalen, Thai, Lymphatic and Craniosacral therapy.
Carri is skilled in all of the signature VAC treatments and is skilled at working on the active and golf community. During shoulder seasons, she enjoys traveling to Post Ranch Inn as a resident Massage Therapist at these world-renowned resorts.
Emili is an artist, gardener, explorer, and adventurer at heart. She received her BS in Interdisciplinary Studies from Portland State University in Oregon. She is permaculture design certified and received her professional massage therapy licensing in 2008. She specializes in therapeutic holistic individualized treatments combining fascial release and is trained in energetic balancing, deep tissue, Thai, sports, and relaxation. She also received her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Anamaya -Montezuma Costa Rica in 2016. She appreciates working on athletes and helping them to perform better through bodywork.
Jen Tracy Hooker is passionate about the human body on a physical, energetic and spiritual level. She has been a practicing massage therapist for over 20 years beginning her studies of the human body in 1995 at the Ohashi Institute in NYC and receiving her massage therapy certification from the Colorado School of Healing Arts in 1997. After running a busy practice and clinic in Denver for 7 years, she moved to Vail and has been at the Vail Athletic Club & Spa since 2004. Jen prides herself in meeting her client’s individual needs whether they are looking for deep relaxation or therapeutic healing. She has received numerous advanced training certificates for Neuromuscular Therapy and she focuses her practice in deep tissue and advanced neuromuscular therapy for the reduction of chronic pain and injury rehabilitation. Jen feels that once most people are exposed to deeper work they get hooked! She truly believes that the human body is capable of ultimate healing and loves helping her clients live a pain-free life.
In addition to massage, Jen passionately practices and teaches both yoga and Yamuna Body Rolling. She teaches her students and approaches her clients with enthusiasm, joy and a strong desire to help everybody thrive and be alive. When she is not in a classroom or treatment room, she can often be found running trails throughout the valley with her two dogs, hitting to slopes with her husband and two children or soaking in a hot tub somewhere.
Licensed Esthetician, Massage Therapist and Spa Ambassador
Lisa is a certified massage therapist and licensed esthetician at the Spa at Vail Athletic Club. Lisa began her career with Vail Mountain Lodge 30 years ago as the massage therapist for the architect and original owner of the property Fitzhugh Scott. Lisa was appointed spa manager when The Spa became the first treatment center of its kind in Vail Village and has been servicing repeat clientele for over 30 years.
Lisa is dedicated to treatment development and spa design. Early in her career with The Spa, Lisa traveled to Germany to study holistic skincare at the Dr. Hauschka Cosmetic manufacturing facility. The Dr. Hauschka philosophy for health and well-being helped to shape Lisa’s approach to caring for the skin and optimizing overall health. She created The Spa’s service menu to reflect her desire to bring truly therapeutic treatments to our guests. Lisa’s philosophy for healthy whole living extends to the Vail Athletic Club, which she helped to envision and shape, and that now serves as an advocate for true well-being.
In 2008, Menina graduated from the Mountain Heart School of Bodywork and Transformational Therapy, located in Crested Butte, Colorado, and began working at The Vail Athletic club. She has completed continuing education classes in Hawaiian Lomi Lomi and Thai massage and enjoys using a variety of modalities in her work. She is fascinated by the workings of the human body and its natural ability to heal. She sees health as multi-dimensional, including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components, and believes a massage therapist’s physical and energetic presence has a powerful impact on all dimensions.
Suzy is fresh to the mountains from Austin, Texas where she perfected her consciously crafted facials. She specializes in many skin resurfacing techniques such as ultrasonic, microdermabrasion and dermaplaning, depending on skin type. Suzy will encourage your skin to do what it does best: detox, shed, move, breathe, absorb, and glow. She also is renowned for her skill at eyebrow sculpting, lash and brow tinting, and hydrating lip plumping.
In 1989, Valerie became certified in Swedish and sports massage therapy in Encinitas, California. Her experiences and training introduced her to many techniques, which enhance the bodywork she still provides to her established clientele.
Upon receiving her training and license, Valerie immediately began working independently in Vail doing mobile massage for Vail’s active population. The camaraderie and intimacy of a team and colleagues drew her to work at various well-respected spas in the valley. Her collaboration with highly respected Physical Therapists throughout the valley has led to a deep understanding of injuries, surgical procedures, and rehabilitation in a therapeutical setting.
