Embodied: a 5Rhythms Movement Exploration with Amber RyanMarch 17 @ 5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
5Rhythms, created by Gabrielle Roth, is a dynamic movement practice—a practice of being in your body—that ignites creativity, connection, and community. Each rhythm—Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, Stillness®—are states of Being. They are designed to bring out each individual’s creative potential as well as being a catalyst for deep healing in the body, heart, mind, and spirit.
5Rhythms transcends dance.
Collectively, the 5Rhythms create a wave of energy. By moving through this wave we unleash the dynamic power that is alive within us. Each is interpreted by individuals in a uniquely personal way, opening them to a new sense of freedom and possibility that is both surprising and healing, exhilarating as …well as deeply restorative.
The movement is the medicine, the meditation and the metaphor. They are markers on the way back to a real self, a vulnerable, wild passionate, instinctive self. Rooted in the principle that if you put the psyche in motion it will heal itself.
The 5Rhythms take us just as we are, regardless of our life cycle, gender, physical limitations or experience.
